In Japan, both the public and private sectors are investing heavily in the development of the non-industrial robotics field. One of the sessions will focus on network-related technologies for providing a wide range of applications in the non-industrial robotics field, as well as technologies that will improve the robot-human interface, which is considered essential for the expansion of the non-industrial robotics field. Specifically, we will focus on the following five topics: network applications and remote control as the use of networks in robotics, the application of avatar robots to the next educational system regarding robot interaction, consideration of the effect of gesture in conversation with robots, and the application of robots to the choreography of traditional Japanese performing arts.
